World Bank president congratulates PM Modi for India's historic rise in Ease of Doing Business rank

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a telephone call today from Jim Yong Kim, the President of the World Bank. Jim Yong Kim congratulated Prime Minister for India's historic rise in the Ease of Doing Business rankings.
Jim Yong Kim said that it is remarkable that a nation of over 1.25 billion people has achieved a rise of 65 ranks in a short period of 4 years & added that this has been made possible, in large measure, due to unwavering commitment & leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Earlier India climbed 23 places in the World Bank's (WB) latest Ease of Doing Business rankings in a near-repeat of its performance last year and now stands at 77 among 190 countries assessed by the multilateral lender.
