Two airports in Russia's Tatarstan region reopened on Thursday after temporary closures for flight safety reasons, Rosaviatsiya, the federal air transport agency, said on Telegram.

Flights in and out of Kazan airport were suspended from 1130-1405 Moscow time (0830-1105 GMT), Rosaviatsiya said. Restrictions were also lifted at Nizhnekamsk airport.

Similar restrictions have been temporarily put in place in the past at Russian airports due to Ukrainian drone activity.
