Ashok Leyland Reports 12% Surge in Wholesales for May

Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland reported a 12% increase in total wholesales for May, reaching 14,682 units compared to 13,134 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales rose by 12% to 13,852 units, with medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales increasing by 13% and light commercial vehicle sales rising by 11%.

Ashok Leyland, the prominent commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced on Sunday a noteworthy 12% increase in its total wholesales for May, hitting 14,682 units. This marks an improvement from the 13,134 units recorded during the same month last year.

The company highlighted a 12% growth in domestic sales, tallying up to 13,852 units, compared to 12,378 units in May 2023.

In the domestic market, sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles soared by 13% to 8,551 units, while light commercial vehicle sales saw an 11% rise, reaching 5,301 units for the month.
