Sukhoi Fighter Jet Crashes in Nashik: Pilots Eject Safely

In a dramatic turn of events, a Sukhoi fighter plane belonging to the Indian Air Force crashed in Nashik district, Maharashtra, on Tuesday, as confirmed by police officials. The incident occurred near Shirasgaon village, where the pilots, Wing Commander Bokil and his second in command, Biswas, ejected safely but sustained minor injuries.

According to Special Inspector General of Nashik Range, D R Karale, both pilots were immediately transported to the HAL hospital for medical attention. The aircraft, upon crashing, caught fire, which was successfully extinguished by local authorities. Debris from the plane now spans a 500-meter radius around the crash site.

Teams from the Indian Air Force, HAL security, and the HAL technical unit promptly arrived at the location to conduct an investigation. Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic but praised the swift action of emergency services.
