Devotional Bus Trip Ends in Tragedy: 36 Injured in Tree Collision

A bus carrying 50 devotees from a 'satsang' in Shamli to Lakhimpur Kheri collided with a tree while avoiding a tractor-trolley, injuring 36 passengers. Police rushed the injured to a hospital, with three in critical condition.

In a tragic incident, 36 passengers suffered injuries when a bus they were traveling in rammed into a tree late Friday evening. The driver attempted to avoid a collision with a tractor-trolley near Kamua village, police reported on Saturday.

The bus, carrying 50 devotees returning from a 'satsang' event in Shamli to Lakhimpur Kheri, met with the accident which left three passengers critically injured. The injured were immediately transported to a nearby hospital by the police.

Circle Officer Nitin Kumar confirmed the details, noting the severity of the incident and ongoing medical attention for the critically injured passengers.
