Gujarat Explores Olympic Bid and International Collaboration

The Ambassador of France to India, Dr. Thierry Mathou, held discussions with Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on leveraging France's expertise should India win the bid for the 2036 Olympic Games. The talks also covered long-term infrastructure use post-event. France showed interest in sectors like renewable energy and sports.

Additionally, New Zealand's High Commissioner Patrick Rata discussed enhancing mutual relations by exploring investments in agriculture, dairy, and education. Japan's Consul-General Yagi Koji pointed out the new business avenues opened between India and Japan, particularly post the Vibrant Global Summit.

Koji mentioned Japanese companies' interest in semiconductor manufacturing and renewable energy projects in Gujarat. These international discussions underscore Gujarat's ambition to boost infrastructure and global partnerships.
