Nvidia's shares jumped 2.4%, while other chip-related stocks such as Micron Technology and Advanced Micro Devices also saw gains. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index recorded its second consecutive session high.
Investor sentiment remains bullish ahead of crucial inflation data and second-quarter earnings reports. The Federal Reserve's chairman expressed cautious optimism about managing inflation, further fueling market hopes for a September interest-rate cut.
