East Coast Railway Boosts Services for Lord Jagannath Rituals
East Coast Railway is set to run special trains for Lord Jagannath temple rituals in Puri this July. A total of 76 trains will operate to accommodate visitors attending the Sunabhesa and Adharapana events. These services will cater to passengers from various regions, ensuring smooth transit.

In a bid to facilitate the scores of devotees flocking to Puri this July, the East Coast Railway announced the operation of special trains for two major rituals at the Lord Jagannath temple.
Apart from its regular services, the railway will deploy 43 special trains for the Sunabhesa (golden attire) event and 33 for the Adharapana (sweet water offering), ensuring a total of 76 additional services for passenger convenience.
The special trains will connect Puri with multiple towns, including Paradeep, Angul, Bhadrak, Junagarh Road, Khurda Road, Daspalla, Sompeta, Palasa, Kendujhargarh, Gunupur, Jagadalpur, Sonepur, and Sambalpur. Additional trains will also run from Puri to various destinations on July 19 to manage the return passenger rush.
