Thiruvananthapuram Airport Sees Record-Breaking Passenger Growth

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV) experienced a record-breaking increase in passenger traffic in Q1 FY2024-25, registering over 1.26 million passengers. The growth is attributed to improved infrastructure and increased airline operations. The airport, managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, also saw a 14% rise in Air Traffic Movements.

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV) has set a new record in passenger traffic, registering over 1.26 million passengers in Q1 FY2024-25. This marks a 21 per cent increase from the previous year's Q1 figure of 1.038 million passengers.

The airport's monthly passenger processing now exceeds 400,000, with 661,000 domestic and 598,000 international travellers. To manage the influx, TRV has added three new check-in counters at the domestic terminal and plans further upgrades to ensure seamless travel experiences.

Managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, the airport also recorded 7,954 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) during this period, a 14 per cent rise from the 6,887 ATMs in Q1 2023-24. TRV services 13 international and seven domestic destinations, with Sharjah and Bengaluru being the most travelled routes.
