CIASL and NACIN Ink MoU for Advanced Customs Officers Training
The Cochin International Aviation Services Limited and the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes, and Narcotics signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide advanced training for Customs officers using simulation-based technology, covering baggage inspection, cargo inspection, and anti-drug awareness, with a ceremony at Cochin Airport.

The Cochin International Aviation Services Limited (CIASL) and the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Thursday aimed at providing training to Customs officers stationed at airports in India.
In a formal ceremony at Cochin Airport, CIASL Chairman S Suhas and NACIN Additional Director Rajeshwari R Nair exchanged the MoU, witnessed by state Minister P Rajeeve.
The MoU was officially signed by Assistant Director of NACIN T S Suresh and CIASL Managing Director Santhosh J Poovattil. According to a CIAL release, the agreement will facilitate training for customs officers using advanced simulation-based technology, focusing on baggage and cargo inspection, and will include awareness classes to combat drug use among the public.
CIASL MD Suhas expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting NACIN's significant role in India's economic and social growth. He emphasized that providing state-of-the-art training to Customs officers aligns with the social responsibility objectives of the CIASL Academy.
Established in 2009, CIASL Aviation Academy offers specialized training for professionals in the aviation industry. NACIN, the premier training institute under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), operates under the Union Ministry of Finance.
The ceremony was attended by notable figures including Benny Behanan MP, MLAs Roji M John, Anwar Sadath, and officials from both NACIN and CIASL.
