Kerala Attracts Massive Investments Boosting State Economy
Kerala has attracted nearly Rs 12,000 crore in investments from 300 entrepreneurs in the past three years. The state government has introduced facilities to ease investment processes and provide numerous incentives. Investment initiatives have significantly increased, creating substantial employment opportunities.
In a significant boost to Kerala's economy, the state has secured nearly Rs 12,000 crore in investments from around 300 entrepreneurs over the past three years, Minister P Rajeeve announced on Monday. Highlighting Kerala's industry-friendly environment, Rajeeve said each investor has pledged Rs 5 crore or more.
During the 'Conclave on Continuing Investments,' Rajeeve detailed the government's initiatives to foster investment, including establishing facilitation centres at the taluk level to avoid red tape. He revealed that 30 out of 282 entrepreneurs invested Rs 50 crore or more in their ventures.
Efforts by the Ministry of Industry have led to 2.6 lakh investment initiatives, with small-scale industries contributing Rs 16,000 crore and generating 5.5 lakh jobs. New policies allow significant lease payment flexibility and extended repayment schedules, further encouraging investments.
