Sansera Engineering Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka government on Wednesday, marking a significant step to expand its manufacturing facility in Ramanagara with an investment of Rs 2,100 crore.

The facility at Harohalli, Ramanagara, is poised to catalyze growth across both automotive and non-automotive sectors.

The investment will be spread over three to five years and will stretch across a 55-acre plot in Harohalli. This ambitious project is expected to generate approximately 3,500 direct and indirect jobs in the region, according to a statement from the office of the Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M B Patil.

The new facility is projected to boost Sansera's manufacturing capacity by about Rs 3,000 crore, significantly bolstering India's export portfolio.

Sansera aims to set up a training center to skilling the local workforce, fostering talent development, and ushering in new employment opportunities. The plant will integrate advanced technologies and best practices, set to benefit the local industrial ecosystem and spur innovation.

Founded in Bengaluru in 1981, Sansera Engineering specializes in complex, critical, precision-engineered components for both automotive and non-automotive sectors. In automotive, the company provides an array of precision components critical for 2-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and commercial vehicles. In non-automotive sectors, Sansera's offerings extend to aerospace, off-road, agriculture, and capital goods.
