Kolkata Metro to Increase Orange Line Trains from August 5

Starting August 5, Kolkata Metro will increase the number of trains on its Orange Line, expanding from 48 to 74 trains operating five days a week. This extension is an experimental initiative aimed at improving weekday services. Services on this route will remain unavailable on weekends.

Starting August 5, Kolkata Metro will significantly boost the number of trains on its Orange Line, which runs from New Garia to Ruby More.

Currently operating with 48 trains five days a week, the network will increase its services to 74 trains from Monday to Friday as part of an experimental phase, according to officials.

However, services on this route will continue to be unavailable on Saturdays and Sundays.
