Nitish Kumar Lays Foundation Stone for Rs 1,600 Crore Cement Plant in Bihar

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a Rs 1,600-crore cement grinding unit by Ambuja Concrete North Private Ltd, a subsidiary of Adani Group's Ambuja Cements, in Nawada district on Saturday.
The Adani Group announced an additional investment of Rs 5,500 crore across various sectors in Bihar, generating a total of 40,000 employment opportunities. The cement project, with a 6 MTPA capacity worth Rs 1,600 crore, will be implemented in three phases. The first phase aims to be completed by December 2025, creating 250 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs.
The project is the largest investment in Bihar by a cement industry player and will address the state’s growing infrastructure needs. Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority has allocated 73 acres for the project. Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani expressed gratitude for government support and alignment with Bihar's development plans.
