Bengaluru Metro Sets New Ridership Record with 8.26 Lakh Footfalls

The Bengaluru Metro achieved a new highest daily ridership of 8.26 lakh on August 6, surpassing its previous record of 8.25 lakh on August 15, 2022. This milestone was announced by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced on Wednesday that the Bengaluru Metro has set a new record for daily ridership. On August 6, the metro system saw its highest-ever footfall with 8.26 lakh passengers.

This figure surpasses the previous record of 8.25 lakh, which was set on August 15, 2022, officials said.

The achievement highlights the growing reliance on public transit in the metropolitan area.
