Five Die in Van-Truck Collision Near Godhra

Five individuals lost their lives, while two others sustained injuries in a tragic head-on collision between a van and a truck on Friday near Godhra town in Gujarat's Panchmahal district, according to police sources.

The collision occurred at 4:30 pm on a state highway passing through Gollav village. The van was en route from Godhra to Chhotaudepur when it was struck by an oncoming truck, stated Superintendent of Police Himanshu Solanki.

Superintendent Solanki reported that two victims died on the spot, and three succumbed to their injuries in a hospital in Godhra. All five deceased were men and residents of Chhotaudepur district. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the accident.
