Mahindra's BSA Gold Star 650 Launched in India, Marks Iconic Return
The Mahindra Group-owned BSA brand has launched the 652-cc Gold Star 650 motorcycle in India at Rs 2.99 lakh. BSA's resurgence in India comes after its 2021 UK return. Competing with Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, BSA aims to revive historic British brands with high growth driven by India's expanding economy.

The iconic motorcycle brand BSA, owned by Mahindra Group, has debuted in India with the launch of its 652-cc Gold Star 650 model, starting at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
One of the world's oldest motorcycle companies, Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA), was acquired by Mahindra's premium motorcycles arm, Classic Legends, in 2016. Classic Legends already markets Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles in India.
The BSA Gold Star 650, which made its UK comeback in 2021, is also sold in Europe, Turkey, New Zealand, and the Philippines. The latest model will take on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, priced at Rs 3.03 lakh, positioning itself strongly in the 650cc segment.
