A tragic accident involving three trucks resulted in two fatalities and three injuries on the Mumbai-Agra Highway near Shajapur town, Madhya Pradesh, early Friday morning, police said.
The accident took place around 4 am when a vegetable-laden mini truck struck an animal on the road, causing another truck to ram into it, according to officials.
Following the initial impact, the second truck lost control and collided with a third truck coming from the opposite direction, added additional superintendent of police (ASP) TS Baghel. Truck drivers Jaipal Singh, 45, and Anil Yadav, 35, died instantly, while three others were taken to district hospitals in Shajapur and Dewas for treatment. Authorities have registered a case and are conducting a thorough investigation.
