Union Minister Highlights Gujarat's Chemical Industry's Pivotal Role in $5 Trillion Economy Vision

Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Anupriya Patel on Tuesday emphasised the vital role of the chemical industry in realizing India's vision of a USD 5 trillion economy, lauding Gujarat's key contributions.
Patel, addressing an industry meet in Ahmedabad as a precursor to 'India Chem 2024', recognised Gujarat's leading position in chemical and petrochemical sectors. The event is to be organised by the Union Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers along with FICCI this October.
In a meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Anupriya Patel noted that Gujarat accounts for 62% of India's petrochemical production, 53% of its chemical output, and 45% of pharma production, further inviting industry entrepreneurs to the forthcoming 'India Chem' event in Mumbai.
