Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for approving the establishment of two new railway lines in the state.
Majhi highlighted that this development, spearheaded under the Prime Minister's guidance, will bolster Odisha's railway infrastructure, fostering growth in transport, tourism, and business. The project is poised to spur economic progress across the state.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, also hailing from Odisha, joined in expressing thanks, emphasizing that the Bargarh Road-Nuapada Road New Line and the Sardega-Valumunda New Double Line Railway Project will be particularly advantageous for the inhabitants of Sambalpur, Bargarh, Nuapada, Sundargarh, and nearby regions. The enhanced railway services will boost passenger convenience, transport efficiency, and local business operations, further invigorating Odisha's tourism sector and supporting the local economy, including Sambaluri weaving and handicrafts.
