Maruti Suzuki Faces 4% Decline in August Sales Despite Export Growth
Maruti Suzuki India reported a 4% year-on-year decline in total sales for August, registering 1,81,782 units compared to 1,89,082 units last year. Domestic passenger vehicle sales dropped by 8%, while exports rose to 26,003 units from 24,614 units. Compact car sales saw a significant 20% dip.

Maruti Suzuki India witnessed a 4% year-on-year dip in overall sales for August, reporting 1,81,782 units sold, down from 1,89,082 units the previous year.
Total domestic passenger vehicle sales experienced an 8% decline, falling to 1,43,075 units from 1,56,114 units year over year, according to the company statement.
Compact car sales, including models like Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, and Swift, plummeted by 20% to 58,051 units compared to 72,451 units during the same period last year.
