A stretch of the Mahagaon-Umarkhed road in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district was obstructed on Sunday morning due to a landslide amid heavy rains, according to an official report.
The affected stretch, part of the vital Nagpur-Tuljapur national highway, has been successfully cleared and reopened for traffic, the official confirmed.
The landslide occurred in Nandgaon Ghat as Pusad, a town in Yavatmal district, faced persistent heavy rainfall since morning. However, the road is now accessible for vehicular movement.
