The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Pakistan reported that flight FL-846, en route from Karachi to Lahore with 171 passengers including crew, issued a 'Mayday' call at 7:15 PM, reporting smoke in the cargo area.

Emergency services were on standby as the plane landed safely at 7:23 PM. All passengers and crew were evacuated using emergency systems. Senior officials announced an investigation, while technical teams inspected the plane and found smoke emitting from the cargo side.
