Train traffic along the Western Railway's Ratlam division resumed on Friday, just 12 hours after a derailment involving three wagons of a goods train carrying petroleum products. The incident caused disruption on the Delhi-Mumbai route.
Services were restored by 10 am, although the derailment impacted the schedules of approximately 14 to 15 trains, according to sources. The mishap occurred near E Cabin, roughly one kilometer from the Ratlam railway station, late on Thursday night.
Divisional Railway Manager Rajnish Kumar has called for a thorough investigation into the incident. Public relations officer Khemraj Meena confirmed that traffic on the down line toward Ujjain and Kota is now operational.
