Panic ensued on a freight train near Jhansi when a suspicious electronic device was spotted, alarming railway and police officials on Thursday.
The scare unfolded around 9.30 am at Bijauli station as coal was being transported from Chhattisgarh to Rajasthan, leading to an immediate response from authorities.
A train guard reported blinking lights on the device, prompting swift investigation. Senior officers, including SSP Sudha Singh, confirmed it was merely a GPS tracker placed for security by the coal company. The situation was deemed non-threatening, though an investigation is ongoing.
