Drone Strikes: Kyiv Under Siege

A recent drone strike on Kyiv injured three people and caused significant damage, according to city officials. Explosions were heard after Ukraine's air force alerted the city of incoming drones. The strike impacted a residential building and a non-residential premise amidst ongoing Russian attacks.

In the early hours of Wednesday, Russia launched a drone strike on Kyiv, resulting in injuries to at least three individuals and structural damage in two districts, city officials reported.

The Ukrainian air force had issued a warning of approaching drones moments before explosions echoed across the sky. Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that air-defences were countering the assault, and that the attack had partially destroyed two floors of a residential building.

In another neighborhood, non-residential premises also suffered damage from debris. Regular air strikes by Russia on Ukrainian towns and cities, beyond the frontline, mark their nearly three-year-old invasion.
