In a pointed critique, the Congress-led UDF accused the ruling LDF government of flip-flopping on its stance regarding private universities and seaplane tourism in Kerala.
State Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas responded to the accusations, stating that the initial failure of the seaplane project during the Oommen Chandy government was due to insufficient groundwork, a mistake the current administration aims to rectify.
Riyas highlighted ongoing efforts under the Ministry of Civil Aviation's Regional Connectivity Scheme-UDAN, with new seaplane routes and destinations being planned, a decade after previous attempts were stymied by political roadblocks.
