In a bold assertion of Karnataka's economic ambitions, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar hailed the Invest Karnataka-2025 summit as a milestone of the state's global investment appeal. During the event's valedictory at Palace Grounds, Shivakumar emphasized that Karnataka is not vying with other Indian states but positioning itself on the world stage for investment opportunities.

The summit, attended by key figures such as Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor and former Greek Prime Minister George A Papandreou, highlighted Karnataka's advancements in aerospace and MSME sectors, with many investment agreements signed. Industrial luminaries like Sajjan Jindal and Anand Mahindra praised the state, underscoring faith in its business environment and policies designed to foster regional growth beyond Bengaluru.

Shivakumar also unveiled a new tourism policy under H K Patil, focusing on coastal development and historical preservation.
