Bajaj Consumer Care Limited has broadened its reach in the personal care market with its recent acquisition of Vishal Personal Care's well-known brand, Banjara's. The acquisition, announced on February 14, 2025, aligns with the company's strategy to expand across India and leverage consumer interest in natural and Ayurvedic products.
This strategic acquisition involves a phased approach, with Bajaj securing an initial 49% stake in Vishal, followed by the remaining 51% later. The transaction is valued at INR 120 crore with an enterprise value of approximately INR 108.3 crore. Through this acquisition, Bajaj aims to deepen its penetration in South India and introduce Banjara's products to Hindi-speaking markets.
At the helm of this decision, Bajaj Consumer Care's Managing Director, Mr. Jaideep Nandi, highlighted this as a key move in the firm's growth strategy. The acquisition is expected to reinforce Bajaj's strong market position and further its commitment to offering innovative, high-quality personal care solutions.
