Delhi Police has announced a significant 12-hour traffic restriction, designating Chandni Chowk as a non-motorised vehicle (NMV) zone from 9 am to 9 pm, as per an advisory released on Tuesday.
In efforts to enforce these changes, boom barriers have been installed across all access points leading to the main Chandni Chowk Road. Essential service vehicles, including fire tenders and ambulances, are permitted entry through specific routes such as HC Sen Marg and Khari Baoli.
Authorities urge motorists to remain patient, adhere to traffic guidelines, and work together with traffic personnel to facilitate a seamless transition under the new regulations, improving road safety and accessibility.
