Tragic Collision Claims Six Lives Near Prayagraj

A tragic accident on GT Road near Mirzamurad claimed six lives when a jeep carrying devotees collided with a parked truck. The incident also left five individuals seriously injured, police reported.

According to Ajay Raj Verma, Station House Officer of Mirzamurad police station, the devotees were from Karnataka. The collision's impact was so severe that the jeep's front end was completely destroyed, complicating rescue efforts.

The injured were immediately taken to the trauma center at Banaras Hindu University Hospital. Meanwhile, authorities have dispatched the bodies for postmortem, and Karnataka police have been notified.
