In a somber incident on National Highway-27, five individuals have lost their lives, and three others are battling serious injuries following a grim road accident, according to local police reports.

The accident transpired around 7 a.m. and involved a collision between a truck and an SUV near a Tata Agency in Gotwa. The truck was heading towards Ayodhya when it veered into an oncoming lane, leading to the fatal clash.

Senior police personnel, including the circle officer of Kalwari and Nagar police station's station house officer, were promptly on scene to carry out rescue operations. The mishap disrupted traffic temporarily on one lane until normalcy was restored, and the process of identifying the victims is underway.
