The Delhi government has revealed major components of the proposed Delhi EV Policy 2.0, targeting 95% electric vehicle registrations by 2027. Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh is spearheading the initiative.

The plan includes transitioning all CNG auto-rickshaws, taxis, and light commercial vehicles to electric. It also pushes for an all-electric bus fleet and purchase incentives for various electric vehicles.

Infrastructure upgrades, such as additional public charging points and incentives for private and semi-public stations, are included. The policy aims to foster skill development and employment in the EV sector through collaborative programs with the Delhi Skill & Entrepreneurship University.
