JSW Infrastructure Expands with Strategic Slurry Pipeline Acquisition
JSW Infrastructure has acquired the slurry pipeline business from JSW Utkal Steel Ltd for approximately Rs 1,617 crore. The company has entered a 'take-or-pay' contract with JSW Steel Ltd for transporting iron ore slurry. This acquisition is part of JSW's expansion strategy.

JSW Infrastructure has announced the successful acquisition of the slurry pipeline business from JSW Utkal Steel Ltd, marking a significant expansion move valued at about Rs 1,617 crore.
In a regulatory filing, JSW Infrastructure revealed it has also secured a long-term 'take-or-pay' agreement with JSW Steel Ltd to facilitate the transportation of iron ore slurry from Nuagaon mines to Jagatsinghpur. This contract obligates the buyer to either accept delivery of goods or incur a penalty for non-compliance.
This strategic acquisition was formalized through the Business Transfer Agreement executed on March 25, 2025. As the second-largest private port operator in India, JSW Infrastructure continues to solidify its position in the industry, while JSW Utkal Steel enhances its focus on steel manufacturing within the JSW Group.
