The long-awaited Mumbai Metro Line 3, also recognized as the Aqua Line, is poised to commence its commercial operations between Bandra Kurla Complex and Worli Naka this Saturday, as confirmed by officials.
Prior to its official launch for the general public, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is scheduled to travel along the route on Friday. This comes in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration of the underground service between JVLR Aarey and BKC stations last October.
The second phase of this underground metro corridor, a significant 9.77 km addition, will include stations at Dharavi, Shitaladevi, and more, running through the Mithi River's rockbed. MMRC is expected to reveal fare structure details soon.
