Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (IFFCO) has announced the start of commercial production of Nano DAP Liquid at its newly established factories in Aonla, Bareilly district, and Phulpur, Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. Each facility is poised to produce up to 2 lakh bottles daily, indicating a significant expansion in the availability of this innovative fertiliser throughout the nation.
The introduction of these plants marks a strategic move by IFFCO, increasing its Nano Fertiliser production capacity (including Nano Urea and Nano DAP) to an impressive 9.5 lakh bottles per day from five operational sites. This initiative is set to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability, providing critical support to India's farming sector. Nano DAP Liquid, a fertiliser composed of nano-sized nitrogen and phosphorus particles, is noted for its superior nutrient absorption, which could lead to better crop yields.
Nano Urea, deemed revolutionary in agriculture, promises to reduce storage demands and costs while improving yields. A mere 500 ml bottle of IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid can replace a conventional Urea bag, a testament to the rigorous research by IFFCO scientists. Complaints about excessive urea use deteriorating soil fertility prompted IFFCO to not only develop but also patent this nano fertiliser, which it asserts will enhance land fertility and output.
