According to JLL, institutional investments in Indian real estate are expected to plummet by 37% to USD 3.06 billion during the first half of 2025, primarily due to global economic uncertainties and political challenges.
Foreign investors have contributed a significant 68% to overall institutional investments in this sector, while domestic investments accounted for 32% during this period.
Despite short-term hurdles, both domestic and international confidence remains high in India's real estate market, supported by a promising pipeline of deals exceeding USD 1 billion.
