Oswal Group's realty subsidiary, Vardhman Amrante Pvt Ltd, has announced a significant investment of Rs 260 crore for the construction of a 200-room hotel in Ludhiana, Punjab. Partnering with Marriott International, the project will feature the 'Westin Hotels & Resorts' brand, adding a premier hospitality option in the region.
The hotel is part of a larger seven-acre commercial development boasting a potential development area of 17 lakh sq ft. Underlining its importance, Oswal Group Chairman Adish Oswal revealed the hotel's construction is set to begin next year, with a planned opening slated for the last quarter of 2030.
Vardhman Amrante's ambitious plans in Ludhiana are part of a broader Rs 1,350 crore investment strategy aimed at developing multiple projects over the coming years. The group's entry into real estate in 2014 adds to its textile business legacy, with projects such as a 2.75 lakh sq ft shopping mall already underway.
