A hacking group known as Silent Crow claimed responsibility, alleging that they collaborated with the Belarusian group Cyberpartisans BY. They cited motivations tied to the ongoing Ukraine conflict. The attack, they warned, had severely compromised Aeroflot’s network infrastructure.

Aeroflot's management attempted to manage the crisis, announcing that efforts were underway to reduce the impact on flights.
