Chhattisgarh's Green Steel Ambitions: Opportunities for Entrepreneurs

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai called upon steel business leaders from across India to consider establishing production facilities in Chhattisgarh. At the 'Green Steel and Mining Summit' held by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Raipur, he showcased the incentives available under the state's latest Industrial Policy and its vast mineral resources.
Sai stressed Chhattisgarh's potential to become a leading player in green steel manufacturing. He cited the national strategy to escalate India's steel production under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aims to triple capacity by 2030, aligning with Chhattisgarh's goals to notably boost its own output.
Highlighting the state's improved infrastructure and strategic industrial planning, Sai outlined 'Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision @ 2047'. This roadmap aligns with national objectives to develop infrastructure and industry, particularly focusing on the steel sector. Initiatives include significant railway projects and incentives for businesses engaging in green energy solutions.
