In a move to enhance inter-state travel connectivity, the new Jabalpur-Raipur and Rewa-Pune Express trains were officially flagged off on Sunday. The addition of these services is anticipated to significantly improve connectivity across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the train services via video conferencing, with events taking place in Bhavnagar and Ujjain. The launch also saw the introduction of the new Bhavnagar-Ayodhya Express train service.
The services are part of a broader effort to modernize India's railway network, aimed at boosting passenger movement, trade, and tourism, while additionally strengthening regional bonds. Under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, significant budgetary allocations have been made to achieve these railway milestones.
