In a tragic incident, three individuals lost their lives and two sustained severe injuries after their vehicle plunged into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district, authorities reported on Monday.
The victims, identified as Devrat, Mangal Chand, and Ashu, were returning from Shankardehra following the apple season. The mishap transpired late Sunday night when the vehicle veered off a slippery, narrow road into a deep ravine near a Saini drain.
The accident scene was discovered by villagers the following morning. The injured received immediate medical attention and are currently under treatment. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has issued directives for aid to the victims' families and stressed comprehensive investigations.
