In a tragic incident during the Kanwar Yatra, two pilgrims lost their lives and nine others were injured in Madhya Pradesh's Seoni district. The fatal accident occurred when a speeding dumper collided with a tractor-trolley carrying the pilgrims' belongings.
The crash took place around 11.30 pm on a national highway as the group was returning from Varanasi to Akola, Maharashtra, with Gangajal. The dumper first hit the tractor-trolley before running over pilgrims who were walking ahead of it.
Authorities, including Bandol police station in-charge Arpit Bhairam and Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Mishra, are investigating the incident. The deceased, Banduvan and Avinash Kohre, were reportedly in their 30s.
