UltraTech Cement is on the brink of a significant milestone, as it prepares to exceed a 200 million tonne per annum (MTPA) capacity by the end of this fiscal year, a full year ahead of its previous target, according to Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla.
This expansion positions the Aditya Birla Group's flagship firm as a global leader in cement sales outside of China. Speaking at the annual general meeting, Birla highlighted India's impressive GDP growth and the role of sectors like construction in this economic surge.
Moreover, UltraTech's aggressive capacity addition strategy, incorporating both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, reinforces its growth trajectory, setting the stage for continued success in meeting India's expanding infrastructural demands.
