The Mormugao Port is witnessing a revival of its container services, a development expected to ease logistics, lower costs, and unlock new opportunities for Goa's industries, particularly in pharmaceuticals. Transport and Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho highlighted this at the Trade Meet 2025.
During the event, Godinho emphasized the necessity of utilizing the port's enhanced facilities, including upgraded cranes and handling equipment, to re-establish it as a competitive hub, vital for supporting Goa's significant contribution to global pharmaceutical production.
This effort is a collaboration of the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA), Delta Ports Mormugao Terminal Pvt Ltd, and the Goa Industrial Development Corporation, all aiming to put the port firmly back on the growth path after past setbacks.
