A goods train derailed Wednesday morning in Jharkhand's Simdega district, leaving officials scrambling to ascertain the cause of the incident.
The derailment occurred at about 10.15 am near the Kanaroan railway station, disrupting the transport of iron ore headed from Bondamunda in Odisha to Ranchi, according to railway officials.
While at least ten wagons were affected, no casualties have been reported, confirmed Ramanuj Kumar Verma of the Bano police and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) official. A thorough investigation has been launched to determine the exact reason for the mishap.
