BIRC 2025: Indian Rice Revolution on Global Stage

The Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) is hosting a pivotal global event in New Delhi, aiming to cement India's leadership in the global rice market. The Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2025, set for October 30-31, will showcase India's technological advancements, including a groundbreaking AI-based rice sorting system.

Participants from over 80 countries, including top importers, exporters, and policymakers, will gather at the conference. A key highlight will be the felicitation of 17 Indian farmers, recognized for their innovation and sustainable practices in rice cultivation, by international buyers.

The event, supported by APEDA, underscores India's growing agri-processing capabilities and aims to secure export agreements valued at approximately Rs 25,000 crore across 26 target countries identified for new trade opportunities, highlighting a potential market worth Rs 1.8 lakh crore.
