In a significant financial boost to Uttar Pradesh's agricultural community, over 2.15 crore farmers are set to benefit from the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. A sum of Rs 4,314.26 crore will be directly transferred to the farmers' bank accounts via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.

The disbursement ceremony will be overseen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will release the funds from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday. This marks a continuation of the initiative, under which a total of Rs 90,354.32 crore has already been credited to UP farmers' accounts till the 20th instalment.

The financial assistance is part of the government's aim to provide Rs 6,000 annually to each eligible farmer family, distributed in three equal instalments directly to their bank accounts. The 21st instalment alone amounts to Rs 4,314.26 crore, impacting 2,15,323 farmers across the state.
