Nabard on Tuesday celebrated the achievements of five top-performing District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) and prominent Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in West Bengal. This celebration, marking the UN-declared International Year of Cooperatives, took place at a state-level Cooperative Conclave dedicated to strategizing the sector's roadmap towards digitization and transparency.

In his address at the conclave, Minister for Cooperation Pradip Kumar Mazumdar emphasized the crucial role cooperatives play in promoting inclusive rural development. He praised Nabard for its extensive contributions, particularly in credit support and the digitization of PACS, urging further assistance in training and capacity building.

Nabard's Chief General Manager in West Bengal, P K Bhardwaj, reaffirmed the institution's dedication to empowering cooperatives through financial, technological, and capacity-building initiatives. The occasion also featured the release of a Coffee Table Book, filled with success stories from the state's thriving cooperative network.
