Uttarakhand Hikes Sugarcane Prices for Economic Empowerment

In a strategic move to bolster the agricultural economy, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami revealed a notable rise in the State Advised Price (SAP) for sugarcane for the upcoming 2025-26 crushing season.
The new SAP is set at Rs 405 per quintal for early maturing sugarcane varieties and Rs 395 per quintal for normal ones, marking an increase from the previous rates of Rs 375 and Rs 365 respectively.
This decision underscores the government's commitment to economic empowerment for farmers while strengthening the state's agricultural sector through enhanced sugarcane production.
